I also had requests for the cookies that my neighbor brought over.  They were so fabulous.  She says her secret is to make them really big but cook them as long as the smaller ones should be cooked.  She laughed when I told her how everyone raved over them.  She said, "They're just Betty Crocker!"  Like that isn't worth raving over ( Read more... )

In an effort to get the house ready for the onslaught of welcomed company, we have been doing projects that have sorely needed doing. For example, we started remodeling our main bathroom before we started the kitchen remodel. It was left unfinished when the kitchen took off.
